today was our first day of orientation. we all got registered and were moved from being peace corps invitees to becoming PEACE CORPS TRAINEES. whoo! orientation was for four hours and we basically played ice breakers, discussed all the wheres, whats and whys of peace corps and its existence. it actually went by quickly.
there are 46 volunteers going to ecuador. half of us are in the sustainable agriculture project, the other half natural resources. i feel like everyone i meet has an incredible story and is super interesting to talk to.
i had to repack all of my bags tonight because they still cant get their stories straight about what we need, don't need, should be wearing, should not be etc. theyre all crazy.
i am so excited for what tomorrow will bring. we arrive in quito, ecuador at 7:50 pm est. maybe i'll dedicate tomorrow to brushing up on my spanish...we'll see. i do have the next two and a half years to do that :)
Madi would say "You Go girl. Love it. So responsible. Love it. But you should really call your blog MADI'S!!" haha hope your having a good flight
